Expat Coaching & Mentoring · Denmark

Mastering expat life in DenmarkCome for work, stay for life.

Coaching and mentoring for internationals and their Danish employers to unlock growth, wellbeing, and retention.

Why this matters

Denmark attracts many – and retains too few.

The numbers are clear. Talent arrives, contributes, and too often leaves before they find their footing. A struggle for expat families and Danish employers.

Vincent Stöber

About

Vincent Stöber – a German who chose Denmark.

Originally from Germany, I've lived in Denmark since 2017. My own journey began as an international student at Aarhus University, followed by founding companies, leading international teams, and navigating the Danish workday as an expat across several Danish firms – including roles as Consultant, Partner Manager, Director and Vice President within marketing, business development and strategy. Both in startups, SMEs and corporate contexts.

I've navigated the social, professional, and cultural realities expats face here every day: the unspoken rules of Danish leadership, the slow choreography of friendship, and the quiet societal barriers that rarely make it into a handbook.

I now bring that lived experience together with my formal training in coaching to help others build a Danish journey they actually want to stay on.

Methodology

Deep O.C.E.A.N. Coaching – Insights & understanding at a new depth.

The Deep O.C.E.A.N. method works with the five evidence-based personality traits — Openness, Conscientiousness, Extraversion, Agreeableness, and Neuroticism — not as a label, but as a practical map. In an expat context, that map turns abstract cultural friction into something you can actually work on and unveils where your unique personality profile sits in relation to your Danish context.

OOpenness

Meeting Denmark's quiet, indirect culture with curiosity rather than judgement — and turning unfamiliar ways of working into a creative edge.

CConscientiousness

Translating ambition into the structured, reliable follow-through Danish workplaces are built on, without losing your own pace.

EExtraversion

Building real social connection in a society where friendships form slowly — energy management as much as social skill.

AAgreeableness

Reading the Danish balance of flat hierarchy and consensus — speaking up, disagreeing well, and being trusted.

NNeuroticism

Working with the emotional weather of expat life — homesickness, dark winters, isolation — so it stops running the show.
